Been Busy

I haven't given up on blogging yet (and I don't plan too!). The reason for now posts is that since my last post I've been busy recording a podcast and then editing said podcast.

Now I must point out this was my first time starting a podcast and my first time editing (or using editing software).

Late last night I finished the final edit and have been in the process of finishing off the final tweaks. Then the real fun begins - trying to work out how to upload the file and submit to itunes.

Once it's up i'll be posting on my blog (and everywhere I can).

Is There Any Room At The Inn?

My blog has been quiet these last few days as I have been away on business.
I don't live a jetset lifestyle, however I am lucky enough that in my role I do sometimes get to travel.

Friday was one of those days and this time the meeting was Union related.
I've been a Union Rep for my workplace for nearly 8 years now, however this was my first AGM meeting that I was attending.

The meeting was a Liverpool (somewhere I had never been before) so I stayed at the Holiday Inn which was in the city centre.
The whole process was an amazing experiance, from seeing things covered in my Union courses being carried out in an official capacity to the hotel room, food & drink.

Talking to some of the other reps at the meeting I learned there is still so much opportunity to develop in the role and I will be actively looking into this.

Finally I got all of Saturday to look around/shop in Liverpool before heading home.

This weekend has been a good one so far and although normally Sundays are not the most exciting day in the week, today I am excited as I'm due to record a new podcast that my friends and myself are starting up.
Fingers crossed it goes smoothly.

Blogpress

Decided to buy the Blogpress app. Although their wasn't a trial version to test first, it appears to be working ok.
I've tested uploading a blog with a photo and editing blogs posted (this is now the 6th edit of this posting!). If anyone doesn't want to have the option to post pictures etc, then "BlogWriter Lite" seems to be a good free alternative.

iPhone Blogging

I've decided the best way to keep my blog updated is to use an iPhone app. So does anyone know the best app to use?

A History Lesson in Blogging (or how not to Blog)

Was my last blog post really way back on the 9th October 2008?
The answer quite clearly is YES. Not only that but in 2008 I only posted a grand total of 3 posts (despite having 82 posts in 2007).

Ok enough of the history lesson for my site. So a whole year of my life is missing in terms of blog posts (and most of 2008 too for that matter), so whats changed?

Well i'm getting ready to start a new podcast with some of my friends and I have to say i'm getting really excited about it. I've been talking about doing a podcast for ages, but finally everything seems to be coming together and 2010 finally looks like the year it will happen.

Also please checkout my mates blog  http://www.benwahwah.com/ - he's actually bought his own site and is only just entering the world of blogging. He's also the reason i've decided to blog again.....so depending on how you look at things that's either a good or bad thing!

Finally if you want to follow my tweets on Twitter, my username is Rsxl and i've also provided a quick link. http://twitter.com/Rsxl

LittleBigPlanet

So I managed to get a beta code for LittleBigPlanet for the PS3.

Finally this is the must have title for PS3 that will provide a longer experiance than Metal Gear Solid 4.

First impressions are extremily good with the user generated content being impressive.

I hope to post a more detailed review soon - however at the moment I have to return to the beta as closes on the 12th.

Is SackBoy Sony's new mascot? And could this game cause fears for Xbox Live?

My answer is yes and maybe. Although Xbox Live is a much better service, LBP's user generated content could put Microsofts strict Live service to shame - could this be the title to make Microft consider a more open user generated approach? I hope so as games like N+ would be even better.

Fable 2 - Collectors Edition

As you may be aware, Fable 2 is one of the big Xbox 360 games due out this year. You might also be aware that it is being released in both a standard edition & a collectors edition.

The collectors edition was once exactly that, a true collectors edition of the game with all the nice extras you would expect (fancy case, extra disc, figurine etc). However recently (nearly each passing day infact), the collectors edition has been losing some of the extra "collectors" content that was promised.

I am one of many that have pre-ordered the game, and in my most recent email from the company I have ordered from, I am informed of the items that will no longer be in my collectors edition. As I read the email and then the following news on another website of potential more items that will no longer be included in the collectors edition, I think to myself that it is a good thing it is not called "Limited Edition" instead of Collectors Edition - as if this was the case I think the only think limited about this game will now be the number of people buying this version over the standard edition!

Guess who's back.....back again!

My last return to blogging didn't last too well (I think it was only for 1 day!) - however my aim is to start blogging once again.

It's been over a year since I last posted to the site and I'm just glad to see that it is still here. Lets hope I keep posting this time!

And You Thought Hitler Had Problems!!!

That's right - I'm back, after a 3 month break (you'll notice my last post was on the 8th of June!). Anyway on my last post I showed how Hitler had took the news on being banned from Xbox Live - however if you thought Hitler had problems wait till you see this guy.

He was banned from Live after using an illegal copy of Halo 3 (Epsilon beta) when he went online with it. Unlike Hitler his console is not banned from Live forever, instead there is an expiry date on the ban (meaning once this date passes he can use Xbox Lives services again). So what is this date???? none other than 31/12/9999!

PS: It's nice to see Microsoft think Xbox Live will still be running in the year 9999!

Hitler Gets Banned!

With the recent strategy by Microsoft to ban modded Xbox 360's from Live - it seems that they might have made an enemy of Hitler. See the shocking footage below:
